Sarah Northcott

Sarah has honed her skills in guiding diverse
groups toward collaborative solutions that include government, industry, First Nations, Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and businesses. Through her facilitation work, Sarah strives to foster inclusivity, creativity, and meaningful dialogue, driving positive change within communities.

With an academic background including a Master's Degree in Strategic Leadership in Sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden, a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia, and a Double Major in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria, Sarah's expertise spans the gamut of experiential learning coinciding with traditional education modes.

Sarah dedicates her time to initiatives promoting arts and culture, crisis intervention, and youth development. Through her various roles and contributions, Sarah Northcott embodies a holistic approach to living her values and making a difference in the world.

Jason Northcott

Jason has worked in natural resource management for over 25 years. Throughout his career he has worked in many different fields of the natural resource sector including mining sites, forestry and woodlots, conservation and protected lands, biodiversity offsets and wildlife projects. 
​

He is very active in empowering Indigenous peoples to build their capacity and has facilitated healthy dialogue between First Nations and other governments and stakeholders. In Mikmag this is called Etuaptmumk (Mikmaq) - Two-Eyed Seeing, which is a concept and philosophy that requires exploration, thought and implementation.
​

He holds a B.Sc. in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick (1997) with a minor in ethics, and a Master’s in Fish and Wildlife Science from New Mexico State University, where he studied prairie dogs and ecological restoration. He is a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) and Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) in BC, Canada.

Pamela Haasen

Pamela has over a decade of experience in not-for-profit management, volunteer communications, social media campaigns, and new media training, Pamela built a career focused on empowering communities through accessible digital storytelling. She's created and led innovative new media training programs, revitalized organizational processes to improve volunteer engagement and governance, and developed sustainable revenue streams.

She also designs and delivers creative, learner-centred workshops, including fun instructional videos, quizzes, podcasts, and training manuals, all tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.


Now working as a journalist and news producer, she produces community-centred journalism, particularly focused in rural areas where local news plays a vital role in community connection and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Professional Communication program at Royal Roads University.

Kristin Charleton

Kristin is a dedicated biologist and engagement specialist who excels at uniting diverse participants to forge collaborative solutions in natural resource stewardship across northern British Columbia.

With a Masters of Science in Wildlife Management from the University of Otago and ongoing studies in Digital Information Leadership at SFU, Kristin blends scientific rigour with innovative approaches to ecological challenges.

Her experience spans government, consulting, and non-profit roles, where she has spearheaded permitting initiatives, managed watershed monitoring programs, and fostered strong relationships with Indigenous communities.

Kristin is committed to environmental education, mentoring emerging professionals, and leveraging digital tools to enhance data-driven conservation efforts and embodies a passion for making a tangible difference in the world.
