SARAH NORTHCOTT
Sarah Northcott is a multifaceted individual whose values of honesty, compassion, and justice permeate through her diverse endeavors. With an academic background encompassing a Master's Degree in Strategic Leadership in Sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden, a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia, and a Double Major in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria, Sarah's expertise spans the realms of academia, facilitation, and community engagement.
As a seasoned facilitator, Sarah has honed her skills in guiding diverse groups ranging from businesses, Non Governmental Organizations, First Nations organizations and governments towards collaborative solutions. Her ability to navigate complex dynamics and build trust has been demonstrated in her work with various stakeholders, including politicians, businesses, and different levels of government. Through her facilitation work, Sarah strives to foster inclusivity, creativity, and meaningful dialogue, driving positive change within communities.
Beyond her facilitation work, Sarah is also deeply involved in music and art. Having performed original songs in numerous venues and festivals, and showcased her abstract paintings in galleries across Canada and Sweden, she epitomizes the essence of creativity and expression. As a teacher, Sarah imparts her knowledge and passion for sustainability to students of all ages, while her entrepreneurial ventures, including her role as a project manager for the award-winning Challenge Series project, demonstrate her commitment to innovation and leadership in sustainability.

MUSIC AND ART
From her early twenties, Sarah has played original songs in many coffee shops, clubs and music festivals. She has written over 75 songs and is currently working on her fourth album www.sarahnorthcott.com/music.html. She is also an abstract and portrait painter and has been using a unique process with polymer gel; her work has been showcased in galleries in Whistler, North and West Vancouver, Vancouver, Smithers, Terrace and Sweden (IG: sarahnorthcott_art). TEACHER /EDUCATOR
Sarah is a teacher. She has worked with homeless kids to mid-career adults, teaching in elementary schools, high schools and university. She created and taught a course called ‘Strategies for Sustainable Communities’ for UBC’s Sustainability Management Program in the Department of Continuing Studies. She continues to teach part-time and enjoys the magic of working with children.
