I am curious about people. I am creative and see patterns in seemingly disconnected things. I connect the disconnected. I love being around people but also need time alone. I am a mum of three young kids. I have an amazingly patient and helpful husband. I am very emotionally aware which is both my super power and my greatest vulnerability. I have found that being able to work with diverse groups of people to reach a common goal or build a new sense of trust and inspiration has been some of my most gratifying experiences. I am both hopeful and terrified by the changes in the world as we face the effects of climate change and experience a global pandemic. I feel that nothing is certain except for change and that we can build resiliency in how we grow as a creative species.
I value honesty, compassion, beauty, curiosity, fun, humour, justice, kindness, knowledge, service, openness, respect, meaningful work, and creativity. (fun graphic) |

MUSIC AND ART
In my twenties and early thirties, I strung my guitar and played my original songs in many coffee shops, clubs and festivals. I have written over 75 songs and I’m currently working on my fourth album. I am also an abstract painter and have been using a unique process with polymer gel; my work has been showcased in galleries in Vancouver, Smithers, Terrace and Sweden. I am part of a group of painters called the ‘Fantastic 5.0’. We have three upcoming shows this year in 2021. (sarahanothcott.com)
